Sangiovese defines Morellino di Scansano DOCG and gives it its clear Mediterranean character. From the Maremma in southern Tuscany, this wine is produced by Fattoria Le Pupille under the direction of Elisabetta Geppetti. Vinification takes place mainly in stainless steel, complemented by a short, controlled use of oak to balance freshness and structure.
Red cherries, ripe plums and subtle herbal notes shape the aromatic profile, supported by delicate spice nuances. The structure is juicy and balanced, driven by lively acidity and fine-grained tannins that ensure clarity and drinkability.

Kaum zu glauben! Eine solche echte Perle zu CHF nur 12.50 ist ein Geschenk ! Ein Glücksfall in der zunehmend knauserigen Zeit.
Jetzt gleich verkostet: frisch, fruchtig, jedoch trotz dem jungen Jahrgang schon spürbar viel Tiefgang. Schon jetzt (Anfang Nov 23) absolut trinkfähig ohne Abstrich. Wetten und daran glauben, dass er mit jedem Lagerjahr noch wertvoller, also erwartungsgemäss perfekter wird. Ich werde im kommenden Dezember 2023 80-jährig, und so Gott will werde ich eine dieser 2021-er-Flaschen im Jahr 2026 kredenzen und alsdann an dieses heutige Versprechen zurückdenken. Bis es soweit ist würde ich mich freuen auch die kommenden Jahrgänge aus Elisabetta's Schaffen, Hegen und Pflegen fortwährend zu bestellen und "jung" zu geniessen.

Ein süffiger Morellino mit einer fülligen Nase und reifen Früchten.
Dieser toskanische Tropfen ist eine wahre Gaumenfreude. Er ist trinkfreudig, frisch, samtig, saftig bis zum Anschlag, mit Noten von cremigen schwarzen Früchten. Er ist ein Genuss zu Wurstwaren (nicht unbedingt italienischer Art) und Pasta, pur oder mit einer raffinierteren Zubereitung.
