Depaula Monastrell Bodegas Y Venedos Ponce 2022 - 0.75 L
Depaula is a wine with a bright ruby red colour. It is fresh and mineral, with deep aromas of ripe red fruit (strawberry jam), toasted notes of caramel and hints of candy, even gunpowder a few minutes after serving. In a still glass, it is sweet on the nose, but when swirled, the Monastrell character emerges. In the mouth, it offers a full-bodied wine experience, leaving a pleasant yet rustic sensation reminiscent of the pulp of the grape and its skin. It is soft, juicy and delicate, floral and subtly spicy, reminiscent of Beaujolais and its famous Nouveaus. Its complexity is remarkable, especially considering its price. Undoubtedly proof of the great work done in the cellar and especially in the vineyard.

St. Laurent Gesellmann Deutschkreutz 2020 - 0.75l
Vintage: 2020
St. Laurent is one of Austria’s most historic and demanding red grape varieties, showing in Mittelburgenland an especially elegant combination of dark fruit, cool spice and fine structure. Around Deutschkreutz, loamy and limestone-rich soils together with the Pannonian climate shape the wine’s distinctive character, giving it freshness and mineral tension. Weingut Gesellmann is among the estates that consciously preserved and reinterpreted St. Laurent after years of declining importance. The organically farmed grapes are selectively hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged for around 18 months in large oak casks and used barriques. The result is a precise St. Laurent that places both origin and grape variety clearly at the centre. Dark cherries, wild berries, herbal spice and subtle earthy nuances define the aromatic profile, supported by fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins. Despite its depth, the wine remains calm and linear, with elegant structure and a strong connection to the terroir of Mittelburgenland. The rediscovery of St. Laurent as an independent Austrian premium grape variety also gives the wine a cultural dimension and makes it a distinctive representative of modern Burgenland.

Zweigelt Gesellmann Deutschkreutz 2022 - 0.75l
The loamy and limestone-rich soils around Deutschkreutz in Mittelburgenland give this Zweigelt a precise, juicy and distinctly mineral style that reflects the modern identity of Burgenland. Zweigelt shows its characteristic cherry fruit and subtle spice here, yet with a noticeably fresher and more elegant interpretation than many traditional red wines of the region. Weingut Gesellmann has been one of Austria’s defining estates for generations and today combines organic viticulture with a strong focus on origin and native grape varieties. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged for around twelve months in large oak casks. The balance between traditional red wine culture and modern precision defines the distinctive character of this Zweigelt. Juicy cherries, dark berries and delicate herbal spice shape the aromatic profile, supported by fresh acidity and soft tannins. Despite its structure, the wine remains lively and approachable, with calm balance and a clear connection to the terroir of Mittelburgenland. The stylistic evolution of Weingut Gesellmann from powerful oak-driven wines towards terroir-focused Austrian varieties also gives the wine a cultural dimension and makes it a remarkably versatile summer red.

Dieter Meier Puro Corte 2020 - 0.75l
Colour: deep dark, dense red with a violet sheen Aroma: intense and multi-layered with lots of dark grape variety fruit, from the typical plum notes of Malbec to the black berries of Cabernet, underpinned with a hint of vanilla and fine oak spice Flavour: powerful, juicy, full-bodied on the palate, with a perfect balance of fresh fruit, spice, wood and gently matured tannins, very fleshy, very harmonious and clearly characterised by the grape variety with lots of juicy fruit and a delicious aftertaste of plums and spices - a killer wine! The vines for Puro Corte grow in the high-altitude vineyards of Luján de Cuyo. The greatest advantage of this altitude is the cool nights. Because they delay the natural ripening process and allow the grapes to reach their full physiological maturity, developing a harmonious balance of alcohol-tannin flavours while retaining a fresh acidity. Dieter Meier cultivates his vineyards using organic farming methods; the extremely dry soils are irrigated drop by drop with meltwater from the Andes. The grapes are harvested in mid-April, brought immediately to the winery and fermented here at controlled temperatures of 27 to 29 °C in stainless steel tanks. To give the cuvée even more aromatic richness and structure, the wines are matured in French oak barrels after completion of alcoholic fermentation (around 50% from second vintages). Dieter Meier Puro Malbec 2022 - 0.75l
The history of the Puro organic vineyard in Argentina began in the late 1990s when Dieter Meier, the singer of the Swiss pop duo YELLO, acquired 380 hectares of land here. To date, he has planted around 120 hectares of this with classic Argentinian grape varieties such as Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. An important principle for Dieter Meier has always been that Puro should be an organic-certified winery. He also follows the same premise for his cattle breeding, producing not only the best organic wine, but also the finest organic Argentinian beef. The fact that Dieter Meier's Puro wines are not only organic, but also good, is guaranteed first and foremost by the soil. Here in Agrelo Alto, south of the city of Mendoza and at the foot of the Andes, the soils are stony, barren and rich in minerals. Agrelo Alto in Mendoza is also extremely dry, which is why Dieter Meier relies on particularly resource-friendly drip irrigation at his Puro winery to provide the vines with the water they need. On the other hand, the drought near the Andes also brings great advantages. It favours organic farming and makes it easier to produce organic wine, as it protects against pests and, above all, fungal diseases.

La Estrecha Bobal Bodegas Ponce 2022 - 0.75 L
La Casilla Estrecha is a red wine from D.O. Manchuela from the wineries and vineyards Viñedos Ponce. The name of the wine comes from the "narrowness" of the vineyard, where the plants are planted at a density of 1,700 per hectare, although there are usually no more than 1,100. La Casilla Estrecha is a single-varietal Bobal that comes from vines over 75 years old, grown on calcareous soils at an altitude of 870 metres above sea level. Although technically we cannot speak of a single varietal wine, because among the Bobal vines of this vineyard there may also be a few red wine varieties of Moravia and Autumn Royal and white wine varieties of Marisancho, varieties that give the wine freshness and elegance. The climate is continental, with low rainfall and large temperature differences between day and night, which helps the grapes to ripen perfectly. A harsh climate that results in a low yield from the vineyard but a high concentration of grapes. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats with indigenous yeast from the vineyard. La Casilla Estrecha matures for 11 months in 600 litre French oak barrels.

Felciaino Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2022 - 0.75l
Intense ruby red colour, very fruity and soft structure with spicy notes that make it complex and multi-layered. An outstanding structure that develops gradually and renews itself over the years, which particularly emphasises its olfactory qualities. The history of the family is closely linked to the history of Bolgheri and has its roots in the early 1950s, when the winemakers from the Italian winery Chappinin came here from the Marche region, attracted by the opportunity to buy and work the land in this part of Tuscany. In the 1950s, Bolgheri was still a long way from the combination of wine and quality that characterises it today. At that time, vegetable gardens, fruit trees and olive trees shared the landscape with vineyards, united by a mainly domestic consumption. The territory of Bolgheri was a land of farmers, tourism was not yet present, the work was arduous and yet the peasant culture dominated with its natural principles and the sense of community that allowed integration between the different communities that lived here, attracted by the great availability of land to work.

Fontodi Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 - 0.75 L
Sangiovese defines this Chianti Classico DOCG from Tuscany through clarity, freshness and the distinctive structure of the Conca d’Oro area in Panzano. The calcareous Galestro soils bring tension and precision, while Fontodi has long stood for a terroir-driven interpretation of Chianti Classico. Ageing in French oak combines the juicy fruit of Sangiovese with subtle spice and restrained depth. Ripe cherries, red berries and Mediterranean herbs shape the aromatic profile, accompanied by delicate roasted notes and floral nuances. The palate is linear and vibrant, supported by precise acidity and fine-grained tannins. Clear fruit expression and mineral structure provide length and balance. Alongside bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised veal or aged pecorino, this Chianti Classico reveals its classic Tuscan identity particularly well.

Dieter Meier Puro Malbec Grape Selection 2019 - 0.75l

Ponce Vino Tinto Bodegas Ponce 2019- 0.75 L
Bodegas y Viñedos Ponce is among the defining producers of D.O. Manchuela and works with old Bobal vines from high-altitude vineyards on limestone and gravel soils. When Juan Antonio Ponce founded the winery, Bobal was still widely regarded as a grape for bulk wine production. Instead of planting international varieties, he focused on his family’s old bush vines and became one of the key figures behind the modern revival of Spanish terroir wines. Ponce Vino Tinto combines mainly Bobal with a small proportion of Moravia Agria, fermented with native yeasts and aged for around twelve months in large French oak vats and 600-litre barrels. Biodynamic farming and restrained oak ageing shape the wine’s precise and vibrant character. Red and dark berries, wild herbs, floral notes and subtle mineral nuances give the wine freshness and tension. Despite its warm origin, it remains transparent and lively, with fine-grained tannins and a clear structure. The rediscovery of the long-underestimated Bobal grape also gives the wine a cultural dimension and makes it a strong example of modern Spanish winemaking. Pairs particularly well with grilled vegetables, lamb or Iberian pork dishes.

Terra di Monteverro IGT 2020 - 0.75l
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot define Terra di Monteverro, giving the blend structure, fruit, spice and depth. The grapes come from the Maremma in Tuscany, a coastal origin with clay, limestone and stony soils that support both ripeness and freshness. Monteverro follows a precise, Bordeaux-inspired style with a clear sense of origin and a strong parcel-based approach. The individual lots are vinified separately, fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in wood, and then aged for around twenty months in French barriques.Dark and red fruit notes recall blackcurrant, raspberry and pomegranate, complemented by spicy, floral and subtly tobacco-like nuances. The structure is dense and harmonious, supported by fresh acidity, fine tannins and a calm, precise texture. Suitable with beef, lamb and game dishes.

Caiarossa Toscana 2019 - 0.75 L in 6er Holzkiste
This wine is a blend of seven grapes - 42% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 15.5% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 4.5% Sangiovese and 1% Alicante. In this vintage, the proportion of Cabernet Franc is somewhat higher than usual. The bouquet presents a beautiful first wave of dark fruits that push the limits of ripeness but remain safely in the realm of elegance. The flavours are balanced and focused with blackberry, cassis and slight hints of salty or rusty mineral. The wine is not too contrived or big in the mouth, rather it shows a delicate level of elegance that absolutely seals the deal.

Felciaino Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2022 - 1.5l Magnum

Hacienda Monasterio Reserva D.O. Ribera del Duero 2019 - 0.75l
Hacienda Monasterio is one of the estates that helped shape the modern identity of Ribera del Duero DO. The project was established in the early 1990s around a historic property near Pesquera de Duero and became the first major undertaking of Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck before he later founded Pingus. From the beginning, Hacienda Monasterio pursued a Burgundy inspired interpretation of Ribera del Duero focused on precision, freshness and balance rather than maximum extraction. Tempranillo forms the backbone of the Reserva together with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from organically and biodynamically farmed high altitude vineyards with limestone soils. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by around 20 months of ageing in French oak barrels. The Reserva expresses the philosophy of the estate particularly clearly, combining the power of the region with mineral tension and unusual elegance. Black cherries, cassis, violets and subtle herbal spice give this Ribera del Duero a deep yet precise expression. The limestone soils contribute cool mineral tension, while the extended ageing in French oak adds structure, tobacco notes and delicate toasted aromas without overshadowing the wine’s freshness. The tannins remain dense and finely woven, supporting a calm and linear style with remarkable length and balance.

SOPRA Costa Toscana IGT Merlot 2019 - 0.75l in 6er Holzkiste
The colour is an intense, not very dark ruby red. The bouquet is typical of the variety with notes of ripe plums, summer flowers and black pepper. On the palate, the sweet ripeness of the fruit caresses the centre of the mouth and finds the energy and drive for a fresh finish, with tightly woven tannins and a pleasant, slightly mineral character. A Syrah that, despite its young age, reflects both the variety and the terroir. This wine is a perfect companion for "crostini toscani" (toasted bread with Tuscan liver paste), appetisers with game sauce or slightly more daring and spicy dishes. Serving temperature: 16 - 18° C Vinification: Harvest by hand. Selection of the grapes on the vibrating table, from the 2020 vintage with optical selection machine. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in steel tanks and subsequent malolactic fermentation in French barriques in first passage. Maturation in barriques for 24 months. Sor Ugo Bolgheri Rosso Superiore DOC 2022 - 1.5l Magnum
A premium wine from Tuscany that has all the characteristics of a great wine: Complexity, persistence and harmony. This is the verdict on a cuvée made from French grape varieties planted in Tuscan soil. It is a pleasure to experience the multi-layered, intense bouquet on the nose. It reveals fruit flavours (cassis, blackberry, plum) and notes of ageing reminiscent of caramel, toast, tobacco and leather. It is fun to hold the wine on the palate, where the fruity structure meets the powerful but ripe tannins. It is rare for a classic structure to be balanced with a full-bodied texture in the finish and to reflect the sensory impression of the nose and palate in a sustained, straightforward and consistent manner. The wines that offer this belong in the top league. Sor Ugo belongs in this category, no question about it.

La Mula de la Quietud DO 2017 - 0.75l
La Mula de la Quietud is based on Tinta de Toro, the local expression of Tempranillo and the defining grape variety of the Toro in Castile and León. The grapes come from very old bush vines, in part more than one hundred years old, growing on sandy soils with gravel. The vineyards lie at around 650 to 700 metres above sea level in a strongly continental climate. The vines are organically farmed, favouring low yields and a precise expression of the terroir. The wine is produced by Quinta Quietud, a family estate dedicated to old vines and traditional winemaking. After selective hand harvesting, fermentation takes place with native yeasts and extended maceration. The wine then matures for around eighteen months in French oak barriques, adding structure, depth and refined spice.
