At the foothills of the Moncayo in the DO Campo de Borja lies the origin of ZARIHS Syrah by Bodegas Borsao. The vineyards grow on limestone soils at altitudes between 350 and 600 metres, shaped by the constant Cierzo wind, which ensures balanced ripening conditions throughout much of the year. Syrah has been cultivated here since the early 2000s and forms the foundation of this wine. After several days of maceration, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by around twelve months of ageing in oak and partially in stainless steel.
Dense aromas of blackberry and dark plum combine with smoky notes, vanilla and hints of dark chocolate. The structure is full-bodied and smooth, supported by ripe fruit and well-integrated tannins, while balanced acidity provides freshness and length. The powerful yet rounded style pairs well with braised meats and richly seasoned dishes.
