Product information "Il Seggio IGT Poggio al Tesoro 2023 - 0.75l"
Il Seggio from Poggio al Tesoro is produced in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast within the IGT Toscana. The 2023 blend is composed of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. The grapes are carefully selected and vinified parcel by parcel. Ageing in French oak aims at structure, balance and a precise expression of origin.
Bolgheri’s maritime climate lends freshness and definition to the wine. Dark fruit, fine spice and a clearly structured tannin profile shape the style. The interplay of Merlot density and Cabernet structure results in a balanced wine with ageing potential. The 2023 vintage received 94 points from Wine Advocate, with a drinking window from 2026 to 2033 and a production of approximately 165,000 bottles.

Vallepicciola stands for modern, clearly defined red wines from Tuscany and interprets Pievasciata in an international style with a strong regional connection. Its origin lies in Pievasciata near Castelnuovo Berardenga in the southern Chianti area, where calcareous and clay-rich soils with Alberese and marl support both structure and freshness. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese shape the blend, combining dark fruit, spice and Tuscan tension. In the 1.5-litre Magnum format, the wine gains additional presence and is particularly well suited to larger tables as well as longer bottle ageing.Dark fruit nuances recall black berries, complemented by balsamic and spicy notes as well as a subtle oak influence from ageing. The structure is full and balanced, supported by freshness, integrated tannins and a calm, dense texture. The Magnum bottle underlines the representative character of this Toscana Rosso IGT and suits hearty meat dishes as well as aged cheese.
With tireless dedication, the Bologna family fulfils the legacy of Giacomo Bologna, who is rightly described as the father of modern Barbera d'Asti. The historic jewel of the house is the Bricco dell'Uccellone: dense and complex on the nose, tannic and persistent on the palate, with an excellent structure and beautiful acidity and flavour persistence.
The Bologna family has been successfully producing wine in Monferrato for around half a century. And their Braida winery has always been one of the most outstanding wineries in Piedmont. With the siblings Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna, the third generation has taken over the management of the family business. The two oenologists combine modern knowledge with tradition in their work. In the 1980s, their father Giacomo Bologna broke new ground in the handling of the Barbera grape by daring to age it in barriques for the first time and giving the red variety the status of a noble grape. The name of the winery goes back to the grandfather of the current estate owners, Giuseppe Bologna, who once earned the nickname "Braida" playing ball games on village courts.

"Fashion Victim" Moscato Rosé - Astoria
Astoria Wines, run by Paolo and Filippo Polegato, is one of the leading representatives of the Prosecco style. Astoria was founded in 1987 by a long-established family of winegrowers and is today the largest private producer of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG, whose products have been acclaimed at the most important oenological competitions.
The Val del Brun winery is the beating heart of Astoria: forty hectares of vineyards in the picturesque hilly landscape of Prosecco, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. The company also contributes to the protection of this unique landscape by adopting the Vignes fleuries protocol (2014) and the SQNPI certification (National Quality System for Integrated Production, 2018).
Welcome to the Astoria Wines universe, where nature, pleasure and ideals play an important role.Ecological awareness and environmental protection are essential elements for Astoria that have contributed to the company's thirty years of success.
With its forward-looking vision, Astoria Wines protects and nurtures the terroir and ensures sustainability, environmental protection and health. In 2014, the company adopted the Vignes fleuries protocol, which was introduced by experienced French winegrowers and provides for a reduction in vine treatments. Astoria Wines was the first company in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene wine region to obtain the SQNPI (National Quality System for Integrated Production) certification, which has been recognisable by the bee symbol on the bottles of Prosecco Superiore since the 2018 vintage.
Thanks to the meticulous work of its technicians and winemakers, Astoria Wines processes 70,000 quintals of grapes every year in a winery dedicated exclusively to winemaking and represents the Treviso area with a wide range of wines, but also supplies the best wine bars and restaurants worldwide. The Astoria universe is characterised by its aesthetics and its fresh, appealing and balanced communication, as well as its clear and highly recognisable style, which has been awarded prizes in numerous wine packaging competitions.
Astoria Wines really has the talent to reach the public, to impress them with its brilliant and creative ideas and to stay ahead of the times thanks to its innovations. The Astoria Wines brand has firmly established itself on the market and is not afraid to take bold steps: in 2010, the company shocked the wine industry by presenting a low-alcohol sparkling wine in a white lacquered bottle for the first time. Although it was not a Prosecco DOC, the 9.5 Cold Wine beat its competitors in the category and won the two highest awards at the Vinitaly international oenological competition and the Forum Spumanti.Astoria Wines is not a classic wine producer, but the dynamic expression of a past that merges with the present and the future, the emblem of a colourful and modern style that stands for commitment, quality, festivity and enthusiasm.
Astoria has been working with the world of sport since the 1990s, supporting the Cittadella Calcio club and the Virtus Segafredo Bologna basketball club. Astoria has also long been a sponsor of the Giro d'Italia cycling race and sees sport as an opportunity to promote the universal values of equality and integration, as well as a weapon against hatred, racism and violence. Exemplary examples of this are the Astoria No Borders tournament, the Nova Facility football team made up of asylum seekers, the I Have a Dream campaign inspired by Martin Luther King's famous motto, the sponsorship of the Togo national team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, the collaboration with former Inter Milan footballer Ramiro Cordoba and his Colombia Te Quiere Ver foundation.
The desire for equal fundamental rights and justice is also behind the still active collaboration with Venezia and Treviso Pride, an association that brought the first Gay Pride to Treviso in 2016 to promote greater tolerance and sensitise people.
Palazzo della Torre comes from the estate that includes Villa della Torre, a jewel from the Italian Renaissance. The wine is produced using the Ripasso technique: Most of the grapes are turned into wine during the harvest, the remaining part is dried. In January, the wine produced begins a second fermentation together with the crushed, dried grapes.
Notes on the tasting
Due to the RIPASSO, the wine shows a special structure and aromaticity, combined with an elegant, harmonious profile. It is complex with a pleasant hint of sultanas and a long, lingering aftertaste. It can be aged for 8-10 years.
The 365 Toscana Rosso IGT originates from Pievasciata near Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southern part of the Chianti Classico area within the province of Siena. The vineyards lie at around 440 metres above sea level and benefit from limestone and clay soils with marl components, lending the wine structure and freshness. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese are harvested and selected by hand. The vintage is regarded as one of the most balanced of the past decade, shaped by moderate summer temperatures and pronounced day night temperature differences that significantly extended the ripening period.
Fermentation takes place in concrete at a controlled temperature of 22 degrees, followed by extended skin contact and malolactic fermentation in cement. Ageing in barriques with a high proportion of new oak over 24 months adds depth and precision without masking the sense of place. Aromatically, the wine shows dark berries, cassis, fine herbal notes and subtle roasted nuances. On the palate it is concentrated, structured and focused, with ripe tannins and a long, mineral driven finish. A long lived Toscana Rosso combining international style with Tuscan character.
In the Chianti area around Castelnuovo Berardenga, Vallepicciola builds this Toscana IGT on Sangiovese, supported by international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. After selective harvesting and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matures in French barriques. Bottling in the 1.5-litre magnum format supports slower ageing and greater stability over time.
Ripe cherry and dark berries define the profile, accompanied by subtle spice and a measured oak influence. The structure remains balanced with integrated tannins and fresh acidity. The magnum is particularly suited to extended cellaring and larger gatherings, and pairs with braised meats, pasta with ragù or aged hard cheeses.
912 de Altitud 12 Months from Bodegas Veganzones originates from high altitude vineyards at around 912 metres in Castilla y León. The Tempranillo grapes are hand harvested and carefully selected. The altitude shapes the style with freshness and clarity. Dark fruit, subtle spice and present yet integrated tannins define the profile. The extended oak ageing adds density and stability. This structure pairs naturally with grilled beef or slow braised lamb.

Petit Verdot is the most exotic of the Bordeaux grape varieties and the basis of the original wine. This grape variety is normally used in small proportions to give other grape varieties a twist. Abadia Retuerta has utilised the full potential of this variety to create this original and unique single-varietal wine. This elegant wine matured for 24 months in oak barrels, the grapes of which come from a special terroir with predominantly sandy soil. It is just a pity that the production of this Petit Verdot with its exquisite character is limited.Almost black in colour with violet reflections. Elegant and subtle on the nose, not intrusive but complex with hints of mocha. Soft and supple on the palate, immediately develops powerful and intense flavours of fresh and candied fruit with hints of roasted coffee, tobacco smoke, burnt caramel and crusty bread. Firm body, well structured and a long, silky finish.
Abadía Retuerta Selección Especial comes from Sardón de Duero in Castilla y León, on the Abadía Retuerta estate west of Valladolid. It is built as a selection from individually vinified estate parcels, assembled only after internal tastings into a final blend shaped for clarity, balance and site expression.
The style is dark fruited and precise, with savoury spice and a firm but measured tannin line. Oak is integrated and used for texture and length rather than overt sweetness, keeping the finish focused and composed. Works well with lamb, slow cooked dishes or mushroom based plates.
ABSOLUT VODKA is made exclusively from natural ingredients and, unlike other vodkas, contains no added sugar. Yes, vodka cannot be purer than ABSOLUT. Medium-high layer, well-defined drop-shaped cherry red colour, clear and bright varietal aromas with hints of red fruits and ripe blackberries. Wet limestone , which will soon disappear to give way to cedar, pastry tobacco, bread oven, very fine toast, subtle glyceric entry, lactic sensations and pronounced acidity. Great blackberry and toffee acidity.Elaboration Limestone vineyards, manual harvest,
grape selection. 95% Tempranillo, 5% Merlot.
12 months in French barrels. Maceration for 30 days.
From Mendoza at the foothills of the Andes, Gran Nevado is produced by Vinos Adentro, shaped by high-altitude vineyards with strong diurnal temperature variation and mineral-rich soils. Argentina has become one of the defining wine countries of the southern hemisphere, with Mendoza forming the centre of viticulture at the foothills of the Andes. ''Attracted by the majestic mountains of the Andes, we, Viera Merz and ChristianzGötz, have travelled several times in
to the north-west of Argentina. This included two failed attempts to climb the 6400 Nevado de
Cachi due to the stormy weather.
Fascinated by these mountains and the unspoilt landscape, we decided to buy a piece of land in Cachi Adentro, at the foot of the Nevado de Cachi, in July 2005.
History
After acquiring the land, we devoted ourselves with great attention to detail to the continuous development of the entire
8.25 hectares of vines and 1.5 hectares of nut trees were planted. With the help of our three employees
We have now proudly planted 6 hectares of Malbec, one hectare of Merlot and one hectare of walnut trees.
1.25 hectares of Torrontés vines and have the grapes processed into our fine wine in a modern bodega nearby.
The next project is to build our own bodega. A great challenge to build a bodega far away from civilisation. Since summer 2017, we have been exporting our ADENTRO wines to Switzerland, where we have received very positive feedback.''Christian Götz''
