Product information "Emilio Moro D.O. Ribera del Duero 2022 - 0.75l"

Emilio Moro looks back on several generations as a winemaking family in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. From this time, they have 70 hectares of their own vineyards, whose vines are between 15 and 75 years old. In 1987, the family finally decided to produce wine under their own name. After a very successful business year, the current bodega was finally completed in 2001. It is located in the heart of the wine-growing region - in a triangle that surrounds the towns of Pesquera de Duero, Valbuena de Duero and Peñafiel. Emilio Moro is the winery's main wine. It bears the name of the patriarch and founder of the family bodega. Emilio Moro is a pure Tempranillo (Tinto Fino). It is matured for 12 months in American and French oak barriques. From the very beginning, this wine has impressed with its remarkable, very consistent quality. In addition to the Emilio Moro, the winery also produces the Semicrianza Finca Resalso, as well as the top wine Malleolus and the two vineyards Malleolus de Valderramiro and Sancho Martin. Tasting notes: Deep red cherry colour. Intense aromas of ripe black berries harmonise with well-integrated toast flavours. Full black fruit on the palate with strong tannins. The high-quality oak barrels bring pleasant hints of vanilla and spices. Long finish. Award: Robert Parker: 90/100 points

Emilio Moro Crianza D.O. 2019 - 1.5l Magnum
Tempranillo defines this Crianza from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, sourced from vineyards along the Duero under a continental climate with marked temperature shifts. Bodegas Emilio Moro works exclusively with estate-grown fruit, combining origin with a precise cellar approach. After careful hand harvesting, fermentation is temperature-controlled, followed by around twelve months of ageing in French and American oak barrels. In magnum format, the wine evolves more slowly and evenly, preserving structure and balance over time. Dark berries and ripe cherry shape the profile, complemented by notes of spice, cocoa and subtle toast. The structure is dense and harmonious, supported by well-integrated acidity and ripe tannins that provide length and definition.

Emilio Moro Malleolus D.O. 2022 - 0.75l
Bodegas Emilio Moro is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, in the triangle formed by the towns of Pesquera de Duero, Valbuena de Duero and Peñafiel. The producer can look back on several generations as a winemaking family. From this time they have over 70 hectares of their own vineyards. In 1987 Emilio Moro decided to produce wine under his own name, and in 2001 the current bodega was finally completed. The name Malleolus comes from Latin and refers to the Majuelo vineyard in Pesquera de Duero. The Tempranillo vines in this vineyard are between 25 and 75 years old, mostly free-standing bush vines. The Malleolus is also a single-varietal Tempranillo, which is matured for 18 months in 500 litre French Allier barrels. Alongside the two single-vineyard wines Malleolus de Valderramiro and Malleolus de Sancho Martin, Malleolus is Emilio Moro's top wine, a fruit bomb with great potential for the future. Production volume 100,000 bottles The Malleolus is deep dark in the glass, a dense, bubbling essence full of power, concentration and aromatic depth, black fruits, broberries, blueberries, balsamic notes and hints of the finest wood. On the palate it is powerful, juicy, with a wonderfully silky texture and manifold spice flavours, clove, tobacco, coffee, mineral notes and ripe tannins. Fruit and wood are already excellently integrated. A Ribera del Duero masterpiece with power, race and depth, but also freshness and elegance. The Malleolus 2021 is a wine for the next 10-20 years. Wine-Enthusiast (9/2009) has included the Malleolus in its selection of the 10 best wines in Spain. Awards: Robert Parker for 2014: 93 points Robert Parker for 2015: 91 points Robert Parker for 2016: 93 points

Bodegas Balbas ALITUS Ribera del Duero DO 2014 - 0.75l
The timelessness of a great wine and the result of years of expertise, this wine impresses everyone who tastes it. One of the great wines from the Ribera del Duero, it combines Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in a unique way, each of them bringing out the best in each other and achieving great aromatic complexity. There are secondary and tertiary aromas, as its three-year ageing in French and American oak barrels has erased the primary aromas of the grape varieties. A muscular wine that manages to convey a whole range of sensations in the mouth.

Bodegas Ausas Interpretación Ribera del Duero DO 2022 - 0.75l
Tempranillo forms the foundation of Interpretación, Xavier Ausàs’ personal vision of Ribera del Duero. After nearly three decades as technical director at Vega Sicilia, Ausàs founded Bodegas Ausàs together with his family in Quintanilla de Onésimo, aiming to place greater emphasis on origin, precision and elegance within the region. Old vines rooted in limestone and clay soils shape the character of this Ribera del Duero DO wine, aged for around 16 months in French oak with a restrained use of wood to preserve freshness and terroir expression. Black cherry, blackberry and violet intertwine with Mediterranean herbs, graphite and subtle toasted notes. Despite its depth and structure, the wine remains remarkably precise and composed, supported by cool fruit, fine-grained tannins and mineral tension. The style reflects a modern interpretation of Ribera del Duero focused less on power and more on balance and origin.

Bodegas Ausas Interpretación Ribera del Duero DO 2023 - 1.5l Magnum in 1er Holzkiste
The high-altitude vineyards of Ribera del Duero with limestone, clay and gravel soils give Interpretación by Bodegas Ausàs its precise mineral tension and the characteristic depth of the region. Tempranillo from old vines planted above 900 metres forms the foundation of this concentrated Ribera del Duero. Xavier Ausàs, former technical director of Vega Sicilia, follows a terroir-driven approach focused on precision, structure and restrained power. The wine is aged for around fourteen to sixteen months in French oak. The 1.5 litre Magnum format allows particularly slow and harmonious ageing and is ideally suited for cellaring, gastronomy and larger gatherings. Presentation in a single wooden case underlines the collector-oriented character of this format. Black cherries, blackberry and cassis are layered with herbal notes, graphite, cocoa and subtle toasted aromas. The structure is dense yet precise with fine-grained tannins, cool freshness and a long mineral finish. Despite its concentration, the wine remains controlled and linear with a clear expression of origin.
